Fallon's Rooms

She dropped her gear and flopped on the bed. Shutting her eyes, Fallon relaxed for the first time in days. Well, she tried to.
Something landed squarely on her chest, knocking the breath out of her.

Without opening her eyes, she said, "Mia, I will send you to the butcher."

The cat didn't pay attention to her mistress's threat, instead rubbing her head against Fallon. Fallon gave up, petting her cat.

Mia was a light beige color with a dark face, tail, and paws. Her fur was very short and sleek. Fallon had found her as a kitten. She'd been wandering around the stables and heard a cat's cry for help. Mia had gotten trapped in Storm's stall. Good thing Storm was a nice horse.

Mia purred with contentment as Fallon scratched her head.

"What am I going to do with you?"

Fallon walked over to the balcony window. The sun was starting to drop below the horizon. Dinner would be soon.

Slipping out of her dirty breeches and tunic, Fallon put fresh clothes on and walked out the door, tailed by Mia.

She went straight for the Knights' Dining Hall, not wanting to eat with her parents.
