The History of Ryalia

When the waters of the ocean of Mun receded, a large land mass was left behind. It was soon taken over by animals of all kinds. Off the coast lay a small island - Alzena. There lived a small tribe. While scanning the horizon, a scout saw the continent and notified the tribe elders.

The elders decided to explore the new land. They sent a small group of warriors over. Upon their return, a larger group went over. And Ryalia was conquered.

Centuries passed, and more and more cities were built. Groups broke off and started their own countries. Over time, Ryalia grew from being unpopulated, to being one of the largest trading countries in the world. More and more flocked to its coasts, taking refuge from war and famine.

Now in the present day, there is but one city that stands out - Riola. It is the capital of this great kingdom. Roads lead to every city, and trading between the neighboring countries was never better.

But there is one country that isn't so friendly. To the east of Ryalia is Noltari, the darkest place in the world. Legends say dark creatures, creatures of the night, dwell there. There is one who would like to overthrow the king there and start a war with Ryalia. But for now, everything is peaceful (or as peaceful as a kingdom can be).

Ryalia trades with the kingdoms of Imasa, Elrohir, Vesira, Gilraen, Noltari, and Alzena.
